Save the Environment, Smoke e-cigarettes

Quitting smoking has got to be one of the hardest things things to do. Cigarettes are full of addicting nicotine which is tantamount to being a drug addict when it comes to quitting.  Unless you have been living with your head in the sand, (which is impossible if you smoke) you realize the dangers of smoking to your health.

If you haven’t quit for that reason, you need to consider everyone else outside your little sphere of existence. Cigarettes smoke contains harmful carbon monoxide that pollutes the air and can cause serious health risks for anyone who is exposed to that smoke.

Fortunately, there is a solution; Green Smoke. This new technology is taking the smoking public by storm.  Hard core two and three pack a day smoker, easily switch over to Green Smoke because all the addicting nicotine is in these cigarettes, but none of the cancer causing chemicals and none of the toxic carbon monoxide.

The other benefits is that they have no actual flame, so deaths from falling asleep with a cigarette is eliminated.

Since the vapor that is emitted is harmless water vapor, you can smoke anywhere.

The cartridges that contain the nicotine come in various strengths, so by tapering off you could quit smoking if you choose.

Over the course of time, e-cigarettes are less expensive than regular cigarettes.

Just another way to go green.

Check out the videos on the benefits of switching to Green Smoke e-cigarettes today.

Online Shopping Safety

Just how safe is online shopping? Probably just as safe as shopping offline, IF and I repeat,  IF you use common sense practices.

Before you consider doing any type of online shopping or for that matter any surfing on the Internet, you had better have a good Internet Security program such as McAfee or Norton Internet Security installed on your computer.  This will be the first step in keeping your information safe, but there is more. Anti-virus programs and firewall protection will keep your computer as safe as possible from intruders looking for your critical information stored on your PC.

Only purchase items from reputable stores.  Surfing the Internet for the best bargains is a noble idea but if it brings you to a site of an unknown merchant, you could get yourself in a lot of trouble. Before you make a purchase, go a Google search on the merchant to see if there is any negative feedback written on them.

Consider using a credit card rather than a debit card to make your purchases.  Credit Cards usually have better protection in the event you are a victim of fraud.  PayPal and Bank America are examples of two banking institutions the allow you to create “virtual” credit card numbers.  A new credit card number is created for each purchase you make, so you are not giving your primary credit card number over the Internet.

Be on the lookout for recurring charges.  Software companies especially sell software that has  a 1 year life.  Be aware  that they often charge your account for the next year’s payment without a reminder.  If you are no longer using the software, you will incur another charge.  If making a purchase such as this, mark on your calendar a reminder note in 11 months to cancel the automatic payment if you no longer wish to keep the program going.

Always have an email address for online shopping that is separate from your personal email.  and then consider using a separate  email account for each merchant. This is easily done through Yahoo mail by signing up for their premium service “Address Guard”  or through using the Gmail address creation service.  To use this simply, add the merchant’s name to an existing Gmail address preceeded by the plus sign.  For example your gmail address is MarySmith@gmail.com.  MarySmith+happyshoes@gmail.com.  If you begin to get spam from that merchant, just delete the email.

Online mall shopping has the advantage of giving the best shopping sites all under one roof.  These merchants give a discount for shopping the mall and you can also earn rewards points.  Going directly to the merchant will cost you more money in the long run.

One you get your free shopping card, be sure and visit the McAfee website for a 7% discount on your Internet security software, or do a search for “software” on your new ClubShop Mall and find out who is giving the best price and  discount on Norton Internet Security software.

This is a very green way to shop.  No longer will you have to go from store to store looking for bargains.  And you can do all your shopping from one easy chair.  How cool is that?

Personal Reasons to Shop Online

One of the greatest benefits to shopping online is that you can do it in your pajamas if you like.  You never have to brave the elements such as heat or snow in order to make a purchase.  Surf, click and presto, your package arrives at your door.

With online shopping, the hassle of traffic is eliminated.  By not having to use your car, you avoid the stress of traffic, you are not exposed to toxic exhaust fumes, and you save money on fuel. Furthermore, you don’t have to ride around a shopping mall parking lot for what seems like hours, looking for a parking place.  And, you don’t have to be livid about someone putting a shopping card ding in your brand new Toyota Prius.

Walking from store to store and mall to mall to find what you are looking for can put a lot of miles on your feet and your car.  If you rely on public transportation this may be an impossible task.

If you need to buy a baby gift, a book for a friend and a tool for your significant other, that is going to require you shop at 3 different stores which may be on opposite sides of town.  What a hassle!

Malls are filled with some creepy, sick people.  Abductions, purse snatching an car thefts are a regular occurrence malls.  Add to that the fact that any number of the mall patrons have a communicable disease they could be spreading it to you. A long day of mall shopping is a sure fire way to come down with a nasty cold.

The variety of products online is far greater than stores.  If you can imagine a product, you can probably find it online.

The price is often lower because company does not have the expenses of a brick and mortar building,  so the savings are passed on to the customer.
